Re-insulation of the building - this has helped us to reduce our energy costs and keep the building warm.
The Scalloway Youth and Community Centre relies on funding to support our many projects.

We received a grant to provide transport for our over 60's group to allow more people to attend, socialise and take part in our activities.


The Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund for Adults has allowed us to set up a daytime social club, which will start in March 2025.

We have received funding for our Youth Cafe project which provides young people a safe space to socialise and gain valuable life skills supported by our Youth Work team.


We receive funding to support our over 60s group allowing us to provide exercise classes and recreational equipment such as snooker cues.


This fund supports us with our core staffing costs to allow us to provide an efficient level of service to our community.


Grants received from the SIC help with our core costs such as electricity and staffing.

This fund supported us with our painted stones project. These painted stones are in the wall along the front of the centre for everyone to view whilst walking along the waterfront.

The Scalloway Community Council support us with funding for specific projects. Most recently they have supported us in repairing our pool and snooker tables.
