The SYCC hosts Sport Sessions as part of the Youth Cafe and Youth Clubs

SPORT SESSIONS

Youth Cafe Sports Sessions have moved to Wednesday evenings, working in partnership with Youth Services through their Junior & Senior Youth Club.  This is for young people in Primary 4 and above.  There are two sessions, the first starts at 6.15pm until 7.45pm for primary 4 to primary 6 children and from 8pm to 9.45pm for Primary 7 and Secondary age group.

A variety of sports is played in the main hall and upstairs in the games hall and every session there is an opportunity to play in the Games Hall Competition which involves a short game of pool, snooker and darts each night with point accumulating into a winner at the end of each term.  The Cup was donated by the Central Sport Hub.

The Alistair Nicolson (MBE) trophies are played annually for table tennis, pool, darts, and badminton and the winners of 2019 are below, Connor, Kieran and Jack.  The football trophy was passed on to the TSB to be played annually.  The Nicolson family gave the Centre a donation and we purchased trophies for the sports that Alistair (as a youth worker for many years at the old youth centre) taught previous generations.
