One of the latest projects at SYCC - Eat, Chill.& Chat!


This project came about following discussions with the young people during outdoor youth work in August and funding was secured from Tesco Bags of Help (COVID) for food and Wesleyan Foundation Grant Programme. This is for young people in the 14 plus age group and an opportunity for them to plan, prepare and cook a meal for their peers along with learning how to budget for the meal and serve it up.  The group will be learning skills in food preparation, setting tables, serving a meal and food hygiene and these skills will help them when they become independent or looking for work.

The group will meet after school on Fridays from 2.30 – 6pm and the launch is during National Youth Work Week.
